The nature of tree removal is highly dangerous. In spite of that, a competent tree cutting crew can remove thousands of trees without incident.
The nature of tree removal is highly dangerous. In spite of that, a competent tree cutting crew can remove thousands of trees without incident.
There’s a lot of work and knowledge that goes into placing a tree. We’re sometimes forced to hit a drop zone with only a couple feet of wiggle room. We’re happy to say that we haven’t missed yet, especially since lives and property are on the line.
Common customer concerns
The main concerns we hear from our customers are about their property, such as:
-how do I know you’re not going to hit my house/car?
-will the falling tree damage my drain field/utility lines?
After 3 years in business and more than 8,000 trees dropped, we here at Snohomish Tree have zero insurance claims against us. Safety is our top priority.
Safety precautions
There are four main precautions we take to make sure that every tree removal ends with both bodies and property intact: 1) understanding the situation on the ground, 2) technical knowledge, 3) equipment maintenance, and 4) protocol.
1. Before we can even plan a tree removal, we need to know where everything is underground. The weight of a tree falling from hundreds of feet can destroy drain fields and utility lines. Luckily, Snohomish Tree has worked around these hundreds of times. If you don’t know what you have under the ground or where it’s located, we can help you find out.
2. In this job, safety is about technical knowledge. This article covers the basic techniques and equipment that we use to drop trees in tight quarters.
3. Equipment maintenance is crucial, because we rely on equipment at every step of the tree removal process. Routine inspections and maintenance are the only way to ensure that saws, heavy equipment, tree jacks, climbing gear, ropes, and everything else we use are going to work exactly how we need them to, when we need them to.
4. We follow the same safety procedure on every job. This ensures that every single potential hazard is attended to, and that anything out of place is caught immediately. You can view our safety procedures in this PDF
                                                                                      -
When it comes to tree removal, safety is more than just a part of the job. Safety is the job. It’s the only way we stay alive and in business. If you live in the Snohomish area or nearby and have dangerous trees hat need to be removed, you can schedule an appointment to get an estimate by using our quick and easy estimate form, found here.
