Do you have a stand of trees you want removed or some land cleared? We will complete your small logging job with safe and efficient removal of all your unwanted timber. In some cases, the job can pay for itself.
Why log Your Trees? There are a few basic reasons why you might want to log your property:
Logging ProcessLogging is not the wild affair it is sometimes portrayed to be. The safety of people and the value of property is at stake so there needs to be a clear and safe process for removing trees. It certainly takes skilled tree workers who are not afraid to get dirty as well as special and heavy equipment.
Property SurveyIt is first necessary to survey the established property boundaries. This helps us determine how many trees we will potentially be cutting and the geographical constraints we need to deal with.
We also need to look at the timber itself to decide which timber will be removed and which will be taken to market. Points of access need to be identified. We need to be able to get in and out of property with log trucks and have room to load them. Selective LoggingWith a clear plan in place, we then begin opening up the area through selective logging. This means we identify specific trees to take down that will clear working space and then dropping them one at a time.
Once space is cleared, we can then begin removing the remaining trees. The cut trees are then de-limbed and cut into sections. Once the wood is on the ground, we bring in heavy equipment to move timber to a landing area. We then need to limb the bottom sides of the trees and move the logs onto the log deck. From there, they get loaded onto the log truck and hauled out. Sometimes we can use a self-loader -- a truck with a boom on the back -- that can load itself and other times we need a piece of heavy equipment to load trucks. |
